  • Private health fund card
  • Medicare card
  • DVA Card (if applicable)
  • Previous orthotics / insoles
  • X-rays, ultrasounds, CT and MRI scans and reports
  • Old footwear that may have specific wear patterns

  • Appropriate clothing for foot and lower limb assessment (i.e. shorts or pants that can be rolled up)

Payment Options
We request that your fee is paid in full at the time of the consultation unless you have Veterans’ Affairs Entitlements. We accept cash or credit cards and have EFTPOS and HICAPS facilities for your convenience. Please note that there is a 1.5% surcharge for credit card purchases.

HICAPS is Australia’s leading ancillary health claims and payments service, providing payment and settlement facilities to over 36 Australian health funds and more than 40,000 health care providers.

Medicare Payment
All patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, vision impairment, heart disease etc are eligible for a Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Plan. This allows you access to 5 visits per year with a Medicare rebate. At ProMed Podiatry Clinic we do not bulk bill our services but we are able to electronically claim your Consultation on your behalf for your convenience. A rebate will be in your nominated bank account within 24 hours of the claim.

You will need to see your General Practitioner and ask for a Team Care Arrangement (TCA) referral. This will involve a longer than normal consultation at your GP’s practice, so please advise them in advance about the nature of your visit.

Veterans’ Affairs
DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral. You require a D904 referral from your GP to receive podiatry services covered by The Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

WorkCover
At ProMed Podiatry Clinic we are happy to provide podiatry services to WorkCover Clients. We do not bill directly to Workcover. All accounts must be paid in full at the time of service. It is your responsibility to claim reimbursement directly from Workcover.
