It’s hard to stay motivated and create healthy meals your kids will eat when your are busy, they don’t eat half of it anyway, you have allergies to consider and you just can’t think of anything to put in there!

Here are my favourite lunch box suggestions. Ensure you are putting anything that needs to be refrigerated in an esky bag with an ice brick to keep it at a safe temperature. Please avoid any foods that may be an allergen to your child or are not allowed at your child’s school.

  • Turkey, cheese and pesto
  • Ham, grated cheese, grated carrot, grated beetroot
  • Chicken and avocado
  • Egg and lettuce with mayonnaise
  • Rice paper rolls can also work with the above fillings

Eggs and Protein:

  • Boiled eggs
  • Mini quiches
  • Chicken Rissoles/meatballs
  • Almond coated chicken strips – Click for recipe
  • Cheese cubes/slices

  • Vegetable sticks or rice crackers with a dip (hummus or avocado)
  • Cucumber slices or snow peas
  • Corn cobs

Yoghurt

Fruit:

Treats:

Try to ensure you have something from category 2, 3 and 5 each day and go from there 😊

Enjoy.
